25 Best Inspirational Travel Quotes That Will Give Your Dreams The Wings To Fly

Updated: Jun 18, 2019

Travelling abroad is a dream of every human being but not everyone has the valiancy to step out of their comfort zone to peregrinate, some need a little push or an encouragement, and that is one of the main reasons why I engerdered this blog "ONE LIFE TRAVEL WORLD" to inspire and fuel your desire for peregrinate.

I do believe that peregrinate and various travelling quotes is for everyone, but the ideas vary from one person to another. The basic goal is always to experience new things. And, while I can understand travelling internationally or even domestically is not always possible, but you can still peregrinate in your local city. You don’t have to head to the train station or the airport to take a peregrination. Every twenty-four hour period is an adventure, if you let it.

Cherish the life you’ve been given, pursue those crazy dreams that are often only passing thoughts, and learn to write your own adventures, instead of being caught in every one else’s book (social media reel). Your book & your adventure could very well be doing the dishes, making certain the kids are fed & working a 9-5 job; however, even the mundane, can be a beautiful book to read. Life is all about perspective and reading our lives in a way that recognizes what a gift we’ve been given.

Guys, motivation is earnestly just an excuse for the lazies, when you visually perceive something, when you get inspired, when you optate to achieve your goals, just go and do it. If these quotes don’t inspire and incentivize you to get up and chase those peregrinate dreams, I don’t know what will!

25 Best Inspirational Travel Quotes That Will Give Your Dreams The Wings To Fly

“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.” – Jack Kerouac

I love this quote by Jack Kerouac as it constantly reminds me that life is short and that we need to actively pursue the things that we want. There is no sadder thing than hearing someone say “someday I will…” Do things now. Climb that mountain. Book that trip. Make time for your loved ones because someday isn’t a guarantee.

“I need to move around a bit. To shuffle my surroundings. To wake up in cities I don’t know my way around and have conversations in languages I cannot entirely comprehend. There is always this tremendous longing in my heart to be lost, to be someplace else, to be far far away from all of this.” – Beau Taplin, V a c a t i o n

“We find ourselves after airplane doors close and wheels touch the heavens. We discover the maps to our hearts when we lose the maps to this world. Wander, and find home in the people you meet. Wander, and find home inside yourself.” – Tyler Knott Gregson

“Travel while you’re young and able. Don’t worry about the money, just make it work. Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be” – David Avocado Wolfe

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” – Anthony Bourdain

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” by Saint Augustine

Let’s make the most of them before they disappear. Let’s see the world while we still can and cherish those while they’re still here. I’m not saying to quit your job but how about small steps, short trips with long dances, no distractions, spend time with family instead of coworkers, meditation instead of aggravation.

Your LIFE is your STORY. Write well. Edit often.

“There’s no way I was born to just pay bills and die."

“There will be a few times in your life when all your instincts will tell you to do something, something that defies logic, upsets your plans, and may seem crazy to others. When that happens, you do it. Listen to your instincts and ignore everything else. Ignore logic, ignore the odds, ignore the complications, and just go for it.” – Judith McNaught

“This is why once you’ve traveled for the first time all you want to do is leave again. They call it the travel bug, but really it’s the effort to return to a place where you are surrounded by people who speak the same language as you. Not English or Spanish or Mandarin or Portuguese, but that language where others know what it’s like to leave, change, grow, experience, learn, then go home again and feel more lost in your hometown then you did in the most foreign place you visited. This is the hardest part about traveling, and it’s the very reason why we all run away again.” – Kellie Donnelly

“It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same. Even smells the same. You realize what’s changed is you.” F. Scott Fitzgerald

“When I say I want to travel I don’t mean I want to stay at resorts and go on tours with tour guides or buy key chains from souvenir shops. I don’t want to be a tourist. When I say I want to travel I mean I want to explore another country and become part of it. I want to discover small coffee shops in Germany and Italy and France. I want to walk on beaches in Australia and browse the book stores of England. I want to hike the Great Wall of China and go cliff diving in Hawaii I want to meet people who are not like me, but people who I can like all the same. I want to take pictures of things and places and people I meet. I want my mind to be in constant awe of life on earth. I want to see things with new eyes. I want to look at a map and be able to remember how I was transformed by the places I’ve been to, the things I’ve seen and the people I’ve met. I want to come home and realize that I have not come home whole but have left a piece of my heart in each place I have been. This, I think, is what is at the heart of Adventure and this is why I plan on making my life one.” – Becca Martin

"The best education I have ever received was through travel.” - Lisa Ling

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky. All things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.” – Cesare Pavese

Friends come and go, transportation breaks down, technology fails us yet at the end of the day, no matter how shitty your day has been, learn how to appreciate the little things in life like sunsets, the sound of the ocean, or a gentle breeze reminding you that you are lucky to be alive.

“But the best part about airports lies in what they symbolize. Airports are places of bookends: new beginnings and long-awaited endings, arrivals and departures, hellos and goodbyes. We start in one city to end in another hundreds or thousand of miles away. You enter from a desert and exit into a blizzard. In from winter, out into summer. In from familiarity, out into something completely foreign. Or vice versa. An airport is a place of transit, and not just geographically. I wish there was some sort of time-lapse to show how people change between departures and arrivals. When I arrive back home from being away, I’m never the same person as when I left.”- Alex Brueckner

“I urge you to travel. As far and as much as possible. Work ridiculous shifts to save your money. Go without the latest iPhone. Throw yourself out of your comfort zone. Find out how other people live and realize that the world is a much bigger place than the town you live in. And when you come home, home may still be the same. And yes, you may go back to the same old job, but something in you will have changed. And trust me, that changes everything.” – Anonymous

"I’ll look back on this and smile because it was life and I decided to live it” - Unknown

“If you’re twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel – as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them – wherever you go.” – Anthony Bourdain

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”? Mark Twain

For me, every time I am faced with a choice, I remind myself that if I don’t take a risk, I might, later on, regret it. With that in mind, I remind myself to try everything at least once, to do things that scare me and put me out of my comfort zone. Because in the end, I would rather look back at my life and realize that although I may have failed at a lot of things, at least I still tried and took a chance.

“We travel because we need to, because distance and difference are the secret tonic of creativity. When we get home, home is still the same. But something in our mind has been changed, and that changes everything.” –Jonah Lehrer, “Why We Travel,” Panorama Magazine

"Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.” – Anita Desai

“To travel is worth any cost or sacrifice.” - Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat Pray Love

It is worth the money spent on a plane ticket because like other investments in life, you are investing into your future, a future that becomes prosperous by getting the chance to experience another culture through the locals eyes, to see the beauty of foreign places and taste the foods that are cooked from a giving heart.

“You get a strange feeling when you leave a place. Like you’ll not only miss the people you love, but you miss the person you are at this time and place because you’ll never be this way ever again.” – Azar Nafisi

“I beg young people to travel. If you don’t have a passport, get one. Take a summer, get a backpack and go to Delhi, go to Saigon, go to Bangkok, go to Kenya. Have your mind blown. Eat interesting food. Dig some interesting people. Have an adventure. Be careful. Come back and you’re going to see your country differently, you’re going to see your president differently, no matter who it is. Music, culture, food, water. Your showers will become shorter. You’re going to get a sense of what globalization looks like. It’s not what Tom Friedman writes about; I’m sorry. You’re going to see that global climate change is very real. And that for some people, their day consists of walking 12 miles for four buckets of water. And so there are lessons that you can’t get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight. A lot of people—Americans and Europeans—come back and go, ohhhhh. And the light bulb goes on.” – Henry Rollins

"Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you're in now. "

Is something I strongly feel about.

Don't be confused. Don’t live for tomorrow. Don’t live for weekend. Don’t live for next month. Don’t live for next year. All we have is NOW. Stop thinking in terms of "one day" and start thinking in terms of "day one". Even if today was the Monday of all Mondays, I guarantee that you can look back at your day and find one (if not, many) thing(s) to be grateful for.

Travel is a change of pace, it's listening to several languages all around you, it's all five senses heightened to the unfamiliar, and it's roaming the streets with no particular destinations. Travelling is uncomfortable at times, but it is in the uncomfortable that you grow, that you learn more about yourself and humanity, and find how recherche and pulchritudinous it is that we genuinely subsist.
